Iris Shagrir

Iris Shagrir is professor of medieval history and head of the Department of History, Philosophy and Judaic Studies at the Open University of Israel. She is co-editor of the international journal Crusades, and life member of Clare Hall college at the University of Cambridge. She specializes in social and cultural history of the middle Ages, Christian Muslim relations in the Middle Ages, the crusades and the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem, history of Jerusalem, pilgrimage and medieval naming patterns.
