Dr. Ishai Menuchin is the current managing director of the Jerusalem Spinoza Institute. His main main fields of interst are democracy, civil disobedience and selective refusal. He published many papers on those issues and also edited three books in Hebrew: On Democracy and Obedience (Tel Aviv: Siman Kriah Books, 1990) as editor, Can Tolerance Prevail? (Jerusalem: The Hebrew University Magnes Press, 2005), and The Limits of Obedience (Tel Aviv: Siman Kriah Books, 1985) as co-editor.
