Adam Teller is Professor of History and Judaic Studies at Brown University in the United States. He has published widely on the history of eastern European Jews, focusing primarily on the early modern period. He is the author of three monographs, Living Together: The Jewish Quarter of Poznań in the First Half of the Seventeenth Century (in Hebrew, Magnes Press, 2003), Money, Power, and Influence in Eighteenth-Century Lithuania: The Jews on the Radziwiłł Estates (Stanford University Press, 2016), and Rescue the Surviving Souls: The Great Jewish Refugee Crisis of the Seventeenth Century (Princeton University Press, 2020).
