בלה קוטיק-פרידגוט

Dr. Bella Kotik-Friedgut received her Ph.D. (1975) (superviser Professor A.R.Luria) and Professorial (1989) degrees in Neuropsychology from Moscow State University. From 1975 to 1992 she taught Psychology at the University of Rostov on the Don, attaining the rank of full Professor.
Dr. Kotik settled in Israel in 1992 and teaches courses related to the theories of Lev Vygotsky and on the psychological aspects of new language acquisition at the Achva Academic College and at the David Yellin College.
Among her many publications in academic journals and collections are the volumes: ``Human Interhemispheric Cooperation``, Rostov University Press, 1992 (Russian); with Polina Solovei, ``How to Learn Languages Succesfully``, Jerusalem: Lira, 2003; and she was one of the editors of ``From Pacesetters to Dropouts``, Washington, D.C., American University Press, 2003, a volume resulting from an international conference examining the fate of post-Soviet youth in various educational systems around the world.
