Dr. Dani Schrire is a lecturer with a joint appointment in the Program for Folklore and Folk-Culture Studies and the Program of Cultural Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His work engages folk narrative and folk-culture, particularly Jewish folkloristics in international contexts. His studies examine everyday practices that underlie the humanities. In addition, he engages in walking as a cultural practice and the tensions between performed culture and archival practices that strive to conserve it.
