יורם יום-טוב

Yoram Yom Tov is a Tel Aviv University professor emeritus of zoology. Yom-Tov taught for many years and supervised dozens of master and doctoral students at TAU. His areas of study are varied, among them zoogeography, ecology, bird migration and comparative biology of birds and mammals, on which he has written many books. His studies were carried out in Israel and many other countries around the world. They were published in several books, book chapters and hundreds of articles published in the scientific literature. During the last few years, he has published several Hebrew books for the general public on the orange-tufted sunbird, the gazelles of Israel and other animals. He is very active in nature conservation and was a member of the board of directors of the Nature Reserve Authority and the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel.
