Carmia Shoval is a senior instructor of Hebrew as a second language at the Rothberg International School of the Hebrew University. She holds a B.A. in English Linguistics and Hebrew Language and an M.A. in Hebrew Language from the Hebrew University. She has also taught courses in Biblical Hebrew and has served as director of the Summer Ulpan and of the teachers` training course of the Division of Hebrew Language Instruction at the Hebrew University. She has also directed and taught in the Hebrew language program for Arab students at the David Yellin College of Education. She published a monograph on R. Eliezer Meir Lifshitz in ``Leshonenu La`Am`` (The Academy of the Hebrew Language, 2009) and also co-authored ``Sabra Sound`` – courseware for English speakers wishing to improve their accent in Hebrew
