Lea Dovev is philosopher of culture, essayist and
translator. Among her publications in the field of Renaissance research are a
collection of essays on the pictorial discourses of music Six Modes of
Music-Painting (Jerusalem), and an annotated translation into Hebrew, with
post-script, of Souvenir d’enfance par Piero della Francesca by Hubert Damisch
(Tel Aviv). Her annotated translation to Josef Brodsky’s Watermark was
published by Magnes Press. She now works on a book on music-making angels in
Early-Renaissance art.
