Dr. Sitton is a clinical and developmental psychologist, Senior Lecturer at Ben-Gurion University’s Department of Psychology (within its clinical and developmental track) and at its Medical Faculty’s School of Psychotherapy. Formerly Chief Psychologist of the Mental Health Centre in Be’er Sheva, where she headed for years the Child and Adolescent Clinic and the Day-Care for Adolescents. She was Chief Psychologist at the Soroka Medical and University Hospital, Be’er Sheva. For four years Dr. Sitton headed The Centre for Children and Young couples in Beer-Shevas` Daleth neighbourhood, within the project of community renewal (Shikum Shehunot). She served on the Professional Committee for Clinical Psychology for two terms, and was a member of experts’ discussion group on “Children and the Law”, founded by the late Prof. Solnit. For many years Dr. Sitton has been giving expert court opinions on parental competence.
