Aristotle’s Hand discusses in an accessible way but without intellectual compromise some classical philosophical problems and issues. It contains five independent chapters: on the dream argument; on freedom of the will; on measurement and distance; on the argument from design and evolution; and on the nature of philosophy. The last chapter discusses the nature of philosophy, its failure to supply knowledge about the world, the insights it can offer, and its possible contribution to other disciplines.
