Carmi Horowitz is professor of Jewish History and Rector of Touro College in Israel (Machon Lander). He has taught at Ben Gurion University of the Negev and Bar Ilan University. His undergraduate studies were at Yeshiva University where he was also ordained for the rabbinate by Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik. His Ph.D. was written at Harvard University under the guidance of Prof. Yitzhak Twersky. He has published a book and articles on the Jewish sermon literature and other topics in medieval Jewish intellectual history.
