This book is based on a series of lectures given by Shmuel Hugo Bergmann at the Hebrew University during 1928-1938. It deals with the distinction between the subjectivity of choices and the intersubjectivity of science, the test of choice and agreement in the question of truth, and t he assumption of methodological idealism and the possibility of opposing hypotheses arising from them, among other things.
