This book is based on a series of lectures given by Shmuel Hugo Bergmann at the Hebrew University during 1928-1938. It deals with the distinction between the subjectivity of choices and the intersubjectivity of science, the test of choice and agreement in the question of truth, and the assumption of methodological idealism and the possibility of opposing hypotheses arising from them, among other things.
