The verb system is difficult for learners of Hebrew as a foreign language. The difficulty arises because the first language of most learners is not a Semitic language and the principles of verb formation and inflection are foreign to them.

The book is structured as a conversation with the student. In this long conversation, the author has tried to explain the linguistic phenomena in as simple language as possible and wherever possible, the student himself is involved in the explanation by way of questions and answers.
