The aim of this book is to bring back classical authors such as Mendele, Agnon, Bialik and Brenner into our reading cycle and our life. Today the shelf life of literature that was born only yesterday is very short, much less classical literature disappearing from the eyes and ears of most readers.

The key authors who have been researched in this book are major assets of the Hebrew canon.
