At present the HUB Book of Jeremiah is by far the most detailed critical edition of the
book, far surpassing Rudolph’s fine, but limited, list of variant readings in BHS. HUB
Book of Jeremiah contains a wealth of information which is now readily accessible; it has
been prepared meticulously by Rabin, Talmon, and Tov, and will thus serve as a model of
text-critical scholarship for years to come. As readers, we owe the editors a debt of
