The book Rashi’s Commentary on Tractate Megilla contains a critical edition of Rashi’s commentary to this tractate. Rashi’s commentary is the most important and well-known commentary on the Babylonian Talmud, and in this work, an attempt has been made to provide the student with a critical edition of the commentary, which presents a cleaner and more precise text, arrived at in light of the examination of the textual witnesses. The edition aims at the authentic text of the commentary through an investigation of the textual witnesses, as well as the many citations of it in the works of Medieval scholars. The book also contains an extensive introduction, which discusses different matters connected to Rashi’s commentary on Tractate Megilla.
